PSP 9 tutorial
by n0tta.brat i.e. pj

the av we're using is one i've collected and the bg is one i made
text used is amaze and 00pedantix
filters: mr. constast and xero/improver &
bad dreams

increase colors to 16 mil and prepare to color the female av...
the skin tone color that i am using is
#cabcb1

settings for the color target brush are:

color the skin and then color the lips using color #f5dacf
and the settings for the color to target brush are the same
other than the size which is now 'one' and the opacity is
set at 42.

Using the same color change your tool settings to
size 'eight', opacity 18 and slightly add some blush to the cheek areas.

color the hair using color #9c9484, adjust your color to target tool size
accordingly and set the opacity to 100. all other settings remain the same.

duplicate the av to color the top. the color for the top is the same color
that was used for the lips and cheeks, #f5dacf. color target brush settings
remain the same and opacity is set at 100. color the top and then erase any
color that gets on the skin or where you don't want it and fade the layer to
40 and merge all. colored av should now look like this:

copy the av and paste it on the bg. erase around the av using these settings:

once you have erased to your satisfaction, merge all layers
and duplicate the layer before applying the filter mr. contrast

the filter settings are:

once you have applied mr. contrast erase over the skin and bg
using previous erasure settings. do NOT erase over the hair, clothes or lips.
once erased, fade the layer to 88 and merge all

av after mr. contrast                           av after erasing  skin/bg

i am using two names on this av and brat is done in a
larger font using 'amaze' and n0tta is done in a smaller font, 00pedantix

to apply the brat text, make a new raster layer and the text settings are:

place font where you want it and while still floating make a new
raster layer and the apply the drop shadow by going to
effects/3D/drop shadow using these settings:

once applied to to selection and select none.  lower the text layer
to 62 and the drop shadow layer to 78

now create another new raster layer to apply n0tta, using the following text settings:

once you have the text placed where you want it, add a new raster layer
and using the same settings apply a drop shadow just as you did to the other text
go to selection/select none and then fade the text layer to 82 and merge all

duplicate the av and apply the xero filter, improver using these settings [portrait]:

reduce the filtered layer to 50 and merge all and duplicate av again

go to adjust/brightness and contrast/clarify and using this setting apply clarify:

fade the clarified layer to 62 and merge all ... finished av should look like this:

yay! done!

or for a brighter, cripser look ..duplicate the av and apply xero's bad dreams filter:

fade layer to 46 .. merge and save!
